The Christmas Junior senior tournament and Christmas lunch was a huge success this year.

The tournament saw 11 pairs  - the highest ever number of entrants - competing for the magnificent trophy and the glittering prize that goes with the honour of winning this event. It was great to see so many of the competitors coming from our younger groups - with many competing for the first time. The winners of the title where  Gus Teunisson high  and Rebecca Pearse. We hope to see as many competing in our spring tournament.

Christmas lunch saw 32 people enjoying a full roast turkey meal cooked as ever by the junior committee and helpers. This was a great success with the team managing to rustle up the full works including turkey, roast potatoes and stuffing. While it was disappointing the Russell would not reprise his magnificent gravy, last tasted in 2009, we live in hope for future years.

Thanks to all competitors, those who joined us for lunch an to all who helped with lunch and the organisation of the tournament. We look forward to seeing you all and more in March.
