JUNIOR CLOSED CHAMPIONSHIPS RESULTS

Our Closed junior tournament ran over two weekends with the finals on the morning of Sunday the 15th May..
Events ranged from u10 to u16 singles and doubles, new faces were seen with the up and coming minis..as well as the regulars looking for repeat success.
A high standard of play was seen throughout the age groups, and close matches giving great entertainment to nail biting parents…

The finals were played in good sun, a good crowd and good sportsmanship, full of close matches being decided by final set tiebreaks..

10&under Samuel Middle bt Mathew Gale 5-4,4-5,7-5. Samuel will go on to compete in the county Road to Wimbledon.
12&under Tom Rowsell bt Will Taylor 6-1,6-0
12& under doubles Mathew Gale/Samuel Webb bt Samuel Middle/Campbell Golding 0-4,4-1,8-6.
14& under Tom Rowsell bt Hugo Chandler 6-1,6-1. Tom will go on to compete in the county road to Wimbledon.
16&under Jack Mountain bt Louis Chandler6-0,6-0. Winning this for third year in a row equalling the club record by Andrew Thomas…
16& under doubles Will Taylor/James Legood bt Oli Sanderson/Hugo Chandler 5-7,6-3,8-6.
