JERSEY TOUR OCTOBER 2010

For the third consecutive year, some members from the squash section will be attending the extremely popular weekend Jersey Squash Festival in October. This good-natured tournament now attracts teams from all over the UK and an increasing number from mainland Europe. Teams compete in various groups according to playing standard starting on the Friday, progressing through ‘hopefully’ to Finals played on Sunday morning. Sufficient time is allowed after the tournament for serious ‘relaxation’.

This year, interest from our club members has been so enthusiastic, that we will be entering two separate teams.

‘We still have room for a couple more players’ said trip organiser, Mark Weldon ‘There is plenty of squash and players of all standards are very welcome. It really is a great tournament, very friendly and a brilliant social occasion.’
