Our squash section is a great asset to the club as a whole which has been going for over 25 years, boasting over 100 members now and growing with the growing programme to accommodate more juniors and ladies.
The courts are now undergoing their refurbishment as the last phase of the clubs new build.
The 2 courts are connected to the main clubhouse one side allowing direct access to the main changing rooms, and the other ends access allows a rest area viewing the tennis show courts.
The courts are in a pleasant environment with the air kept at the required temperature for play and having a large viewing balcony of the courts.
We have 3 teams who compete in the winter & summer Dorset leagues, in divisions 2, 4, & 5.
Internal leagues and ladder are available for all abilities and sexes.
Now promoting a growing sport racketball and which is proving to be very popular.
Squash programme consists of at present:
Mixed club night on Mondays 6pm – 9pm.
Internal league night Wednesdays from 5pm.
Tuesday and Thursday team matches from 7.30pm.
All other times are available to book for general play.
We also do annual team weekend excursions, to various clubs i.e. Guernsey, Jersey etc. having a fun tournament, and returning the favour.
The annual closed tournament took place in June 2009 with various categories as, vets, handicap, open and vintage being contested.

There are many extra activities at our club with the bridge being one of the most popular with over 60 very enthusiastic members, whom meet 3 times weekly.
The bridge players meet and play in our recently refurbished large and comfortable function room.
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm onwards are for beginners.
Wednesday from 10am onwards is for the more competent player.
Not to worry if not played before, there is someone always on hand to give a little tuition, members and non members with a member welcome to come.
Refreshments are available throughout for all sessions and often finish with coffee on our veranda in the summer.
There is also an annual dinner put on for all bridge players.

This is a Chinese puzzle game which is good fun and very popular with many of our members and creates over 50 members at the club.
They enjoy playing in our newly refurbished large and comfortable function room.
Meeting weekly on Mondays at 2pm onwards, all members and non members with a member welcome to come.
Refreshments are available throughout, and often finish with coffee on our veranda in the summer.
An annual Christmas dinner is put on for all mahjong players.

The table tennis is a much used section of the club for all our members.
With mini tournaments, held whenever the weather is unsuitable for tennis, a popular activity used at our tournaments in between matches for the children and adults, or for just general fun.
There are 2 tables and these are located within our newly refurbished function room, which accommodates these easily.
There is an enthusiastic group of players who meet weekly on a Thursday evening at 7pm onwards for a mixed club night, where singles and doubles are played.
All members and non members with a member welcome to come, with refreshments available.

We have an art club creating many very good works of art which get hung around our clubhouse, and are also available for purchasing.
The Art club is a small group whom meet weekly on Tuesday at 7pm onwards, this is in our newly refurbished function room, which has large windows giving fabulous views for the painters to great their creative minds flowing.
The content is varied from week to week (NOT NUDE YET)
From time to time there are lessons and very informative talks given by our arts organiser John Butler.

Due to the clubs dynamics with so many activities and members, the club puts on regular outings to many varied events.
Outings can be from local events, displays, to tennis tournaments and many theatre productions at local theatres and London too...
These are very popular due to the diversity of events, an exciting asset to the club.
